前言  Introduction




走向新建筑
  
      在库哈斯看来，建筑师是掌握话语权的公共知识分子，但可悲的是，近年来，在权力和资本的裹携下中国的建筑师逐渐沦为附庸，越来越多的粗糙、贫乏的建筑在中国的大地上如雨后春笋般的疯狂蔓延，曾经让我们引以为傲的传统正在变为我们生命中的不可承受之重。在癫狂的现实面前，其实也有些许的光明，我们想要向中国介绍的这40位各具特色的建筑师正是用他们自己的思考和实践在反抗粗鄙。我们并不想发起一场运动，因为任何的运动最终都会走向封闭，就像曾经风起云涌的实验建筑那样，最后难逃自说自画的尴尬境遇。我们只是需要我们的活动可以引起人们对于真正建筑的关注，从而让建筑师成为建筑师，让整个中国充满建筑。

Towards the new architecture in China
Architects, according to Rem Koolhaas, should be the speakers of all general public.But in recent years, due to capitalism and political power, architects become suppressed. Many low quality architecture are continuing everywhere in china. This has big conflicts to our long-history culture. In the midst of crazy development, may be there is new voice. We are going to present 40 young Chinese architects’ works, each of them has his/her own thinking towards contemporary Chinese architecture. We don't want to initiate a revolution; instead we want to motivate people to fall interested in architecture. With the demand for good architecture, Chinese architects could present their best talents and build better china for all of us.

1. 亚洲经济高速发展,我们结合宏观背景,首次提出“40<40”的展览概念。
2. 有一个观念“中国是世界的加工厂,没有设计”,但我们认为目前的现状是由多方面原因造成的。虽然还没有世界级的好设计出现,但未来一定是会有的。
3. 如今的时代需要坚持信念,因此我们有责任要强化中国的本土建筑师对设计,尤其是对中国设计的信念。
4. 我们希望通过这个平台感谢外来的文化,因为他们拓宽了中国建筑师的眼界,丰富了建筑师们的思想。
5. 最终我们希望通过这次展览让更多的人关心关注本土华人建筑师的未来!

According to the rapid development in great Asia, we propose the concept of 40<40 concept, featuring the new young design force in China.  
2. There is a saying:China is a world factory only, no Original design. As there are some constraints in the country. But we believe Design in China will happens soon.
3. We wish to support and promote the concept of Design in China.
4. To enhance the interest of general public towards young architects in China.
5. Through the exhibition, we wish to further promote the good future of Chinese architecture.
